If I click F8 during startup I get the practice list. If click F7 I can change the path. When using either of those options the software loads and does not provide login box and just hangs. Then if you proceed to just launch you get the error above. I have disable things including virus software which already has an exclusion, deleted things installed a number of times applied the hotfix it just hangs and does not prompt for user credentials. I even tried a non traditional file path and chose not to use UNC.

Try closing every program you have running, including everything in the system tray. If you close a program and Medisoft immediately finishes loading, then you found the culprit that is blocking Medisoft from stopping. On occasion, certain Windows Updates can cause this behavior, so uninstalling any Windows Updates that occurred at about the time this issue started happening can resolve this issue as well. Otherwise, you'll probably need to work with a Medisoft re-seller to help troubleshoot this issue. We can work with you on this if you purchase a month of Medisoft support here.

Oh, another thing I should point out. Sometimes a simple reboot of the computer can clear this up. Try that first.

I did everything you listed already. Then for some reason overnight it started working no error. Now it works but initially loads very slowly. So I am going to guess it is something interfering with Medisoft and application or something. One question I have is there anything recorded of any video drivers interfering with the performance of Medisoft?

Everything started working with a version not including the hot fix. So now that it is semi-working was thinking apply hot fix and see if it loads better.

Loading the hot fix on version 20 doesn't hurt anything even if you don't have Windows 10. It is worth a shot. According to the error message, it looks like you already have the hot fix installed though.
